I think we could do with a standard operating procedure for when our tank goes down. Definitely looking for some input from our veteran here, but I was thinking along the lines of:
- Pan dies - DPS immediate cease fire (minimum x seconds) - Xene pings the main target, pops Righteous Fury for threat enhancement followed by consecration, concentration aura and a big heal on whoever needs it most - Xene pings any mobs who are still attacking others, drawing them into consecration radius - DPS confirm free from attackers and x seconds elapsed - DPS open up on Xene's target or with AoE while Xene chain heals herself and maintains consecration - Pan decides whether to use SS, depending on likelihood of wipe
As the offtank, the difference between success and failure for marginal situations seems to be how much I have to think about. If I can do the above as an automatic sequence I think we can pull out a few more great escapes.

Glad to hear it... but haven't we since changed our tactics to using Zuril as the OT? As the instances get harder Xene is starting to feel a bit more fragile, so the change might be for the best.
As long as we have the basics agreed in advance I'm happy either way.

Zuril won't be able to hold aggro like either Pandrel or Xene so she may not have a choice. Zuril is the offtank for mobs in specific situations, not in general, and certainly won't be able to generate aggro if Pandrel goes down.

Got it. I guess "pinning specific targets" and "being a backup main tank" are two quite different aspects of the offtank role. So Xene is the default offtank for when Pan goes down.
Another OT aspect that came up on Sunday was "picking up adds that come in during a fight". How would you suggest we best deal with that?
